Mansi Kotwal, MD/MPH
Mansi is a pediatric allergist and immunologist at Children's National Health System. After completing her dual degree MD/MPH from the University of Arizona in Tucson, she moved to Washington, DC where she completed her pediatric residency. She fell in love with the city and loved being in the nation's capital where opportunities for advocacy in many forms are abundant. She worked in the emergency room for several years as well as in the IMPACT DC clinic which solidified her interest in allergy and then pursued her fellowship at Johns Hopkins. She is now back at Children's and her interests include asthma, food allergy, climate health, school-based care and absenteeism, food insecurity and bullying and anxiety as it pertains to chronic disease. She is a CHAI affiliate faculty and is interested in legislative advocacy and feels the role healthcare providers can play in this, as well as in healthcare policy and politics is crucial and hopes to encourage others to get more involved.
