Benjamin Raby, MD, MPH

Dr. Raby is the Leila and Irving Perlmutter Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, the Chief of the Division of Pulmonary Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital, and is the founder and Director of the Pulmonary Genetics Centers at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Boston Children's Hospital. He obtained his medical degree and completed his residency and fellowship training in Pulmonary Medicine from McGill Medical School. Supported by the NIH for more than 20 years, his research focuses on identifying and characterizing asthma susceptibility genes and monogenic forms of rare lung disease. He is recognized as an expert on the genetics and genomics of asthma, and in the integration of genetic diagnostics in the clinical practice of pulmonary medicine.
