I have been a Pediatric Pulmonologist and clinician-researcher for almost 40 years. Over the years, I have built my reputation as a world leader in various pediatric respiratory fields, including >160 publications, worldwide presentations, and various patented innovations to help infants and young children with asthma better receive their necessary respiratory medications. These innovations have found their way to hospitals, clinics, and homes worldwide.

Other contributions to Science

• Aerosol delivery- I was the chair of the Pediatrics and Cystic Fibrosis networking of the International Society of Aerosols in Medicine (ISAM). I have been involved in the research and development of various aerosol devices for infants and children.  I have patented and developed a few aerosol devices.  For example, the current Soother Mask, which is now distributed in the US and Canada, incorporates the baby soother into the mask, thus overcoming the everyday resistance of infants to treatment.

• Global Health- I am involved in various efforts to diagnose pneumonia better. Recently I have been awarded the Grand Challenge Canada (GCC) $100,000 grant and an Israeli 430,000 USD grant to develop unique methods for diagnosing pneumonia in the 3rd world. • Ciliary Diseases- I am leading and involved in various international studies about PCD and other cilia-related diseases such as congenital heart diseases and mid-brain anomalies. I am frequently invited to present at international PCD meetings.
