Roopa Kanakatti Shankar, MBBS, MS
Dr. Roopa Kanakatti Shankar, MBBS, MS, is a Pediatric Endocrinologist at the Children’s National Hospital and Associate Professor of Pediatrics, The George Washington University School of Medicine. She specializes in growth, puberty disorders, and sex chromosome aneuploidies, specifically Turner syndrome. She established the Multidisciplinary Turner Syndrome Clinic at Children's National, and is the Director of the Turner Syndrome Program, recognized among the top Level 4 Regional Resource Centers for Turner syndrome in the US. She is the Principal Investigator for the TS Registry, IND Clinical trial of vosoritide for short stature in Turner syndrome and site PI at Children’s National, for the multicenter collaborative InsighTS Research Registry. She also serves as the co-chair of the Program Committee of the Pediatric Endocrine Society.
