Susan Walley, Division Chief of Hospital Medicine, Children's National Hospital and Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University

Susan Walley, MD, MHCM, FAAP is Chief of the Division of Hospital Medicine at Children's National Hospital and Professor of Pediatrics at the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Walley completed her medical degree from Medical College of Georgia, internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a Master of Health Care Management from the Harvard University School of Public Health. Dr. Walley is a national expert for the prevention and treatment of youth tobacco use and tobacco smoke exposure. She is the immediate past Chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Section on Nicotine and Tobacco Prevention and Treatment, lead author of the AAP E-Cigarette Policy Statement, and co-author of the 2023 and 2015 AAP Tobacco Technical, Policy and Clinical Policy Statements. Dr. Walley practices clinically as a pediatric hospitalist and is a certified tobacco treatment specialist.
