My name is Jennifer Park, a pediatric anesthesiology fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, MA). I graduated from MIT as a Biology major, where I was first exposed to bench research on lung cancer. This initial biomedical research experience grew my interest in medicine, leading to my medical degree at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. During the summer of M4 year, I was selected as a FAER research fellow and worked with Dr. Stuart Forman’s lab at MGH, on a project establishing zebrafish as a platform for discovering new potent general anesthetic drugs. After my magnificent time at Yale for my anesthesiology residency, I returned to Boston to start my journey as a pediatric anesthesiologist.
