Cara Pleau is a Professional Practice Specialist in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Children's National. She has worked in the CICU for almost 9 years, starting as a bedside nurse and transitioning onto the Education Team in 2019. She is passionate about simulation, incorporating it into orientation, in-situ, and during annual nursing skills day sessions. She has worked to expand the program to ensure interdisciplinary collaboration. She has presented the CICU simulation program's work at both domestic and international conferences. She looks forward to continuing to build her skill-set in simulation and expanding the curriculum in the CICU at Children's.
