Jessica Steinsiek, MD MPH
Nikki is a second-year child and adolescent psychiatry fellow at Children’s National Hospital. She completed her medical degree and master of public health in epidemiology at Oregon Health and Science University, and her residency in psychiatry at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. During psychiatry training, Nikki has published research related to the of depression in children with autism and intellectual disabilities, participated in numerous committees and projects related to racial equity and justice in the field of psychiatry, and advocated for state and federal policies that promote mental health. Nikki was an American Psychiatric Association Leadership Fellow and is currently a member of the Washing Psychiatry Society Executive Committee. During her final year of child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship, she has completed Children’s National Hospital’s Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Fellowship and George Washington University’s Residency Fellowship in Health Policy.
