Cindi Stefl serves as Senior Director of Clinical Documentation Integrity for Inova Health. In this capacity, Ms. Stefl leads the strategic vision and the day to day operations for the CDI teams across all Inova hospitals with focus on staff development, clinical validation, dashboard metric/outcomes, policy and procedure, process flow, quality monitoring and physician engagement/education.

A graduate of The University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Ms. Stefl is credentialed as a Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) and a member of the Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists (ACDIS) and the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).  She has served on the ACDIS Leadership Council (2019 to present), the ACDIS CDI Practice Committee (2016-2018) and the Michigan ACDIS Chapter Leadership group (2017 – 2021) and has presented at local and national ACDIS Conferences.
