jinlei li, MD PhD
Dr. Jinlei Li is the Director of Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine at Yale University. She is active in academic anesthesia both in research and education, currently serving as the vice Chair of Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine Committee at ASA.
Dr. Li has special interest in the care of orthopedic patients and especially in how best to treat patients presenting with total knee and total hip replacement with particular attention to opioid-sparing regional anesthesia/acute pain management. She has recently completed a single center RCT as the PI, assessing pain management and surgical outcomes using motor-sparing anterior quadratus lumborum blocks in THA. She is currently running an RCT study in unilateral and bilateral total knee arthroplasty assessing both pain control and surgical outcomes.
Dr. Li has been invited to present her expertise in acute pain management, particularly ambulatory TJA at ASA, ASRA and PGA. She has been interviewed multiple times by Ambulatory Surgery magazine and have hosted numerous webinars, panels and workshops on regional anesthesia techniques, and patient outcome based on her research and clinical protocols.
