Carlo Castellani has worked in the Cystic Fibrosis Centre of Verona, Italy from 1993 to 2018, where he has been in charge of the Clinical Genetics and Neonatal Screening Services and of the Adult Unit. Since 2019 he is Director of the Genoa Cystic Fibrosis Centre, located in the Gaslini Institute.He has been President of the Italian Cystic Fibrosis Society, Secretary and Vice President of the ECFS, Founding Member of the European Cystic Fibrosis Society Working Group on Neonatal Screening. He is presently Scientific Director of the Italian CF Research Fondation and Deputy Editor of the Journal of Cystic Fibrosis. His main research interests are in neonatal and carrier screening, genotype/phenotype correlation and diagnosis of cystic fibrosis. He has published 123 papers on CF.
