The focus of my research activities are studying mechanisms of perinatal brain injury and neuroprotection. I have worked with preclinical animal models where our findings have been translated to clinical studies.

Currently, my main focus is on mechanisms of inflammation-sensitized experimental  hypoxic-ischemic brain injury with and without hypothermia
