Nefertari Terrill-Jones, MD, MSPH, Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellow

Nefertari Terrill-Jones, or Neffiee, is a third year Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellow from Children’s National Hospital. She is the youngest of four and is proud to be from Kansas City, KS (Go Chiefs!!). She has trained all over the country, including Howard University in Washington, DC for undergrad, Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN for her master’s and medical school, followed by a short trip back home at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO, where she completed her pediatrics residency. She loves spending time with friends and family, as well as traveling internationally when the time permits. Her current fellow research focuses on race and communication between medical staff and families in the NICU, and finding ways to improve overall communication with NICU families.
