Brooke Bokor, Brooke Bokor MD, MPH
Dr. Brooke Bokor (she/her) is the Medical Director of Inova Children’s Adolescent Medicine and is a specialty care physician board certified in pediatrics and adolescent medicine at Inova Health System. She received her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in 2003 and completed her residency and fellowship training at Children’s National Hospital in Washington DC. She received her Masters in Public Health in 2009 and a Graduate Certificate in Medical Education & Human Development through the George Washington University Master Teacher Leadership Development Program in Washington, DC in 2015.
Dr. Bokor has long been committed to training the pipeline of future providers to meet the needs of teens and young adults. She advocates for and models a holistic and strengths-based approach to patient care, with a focus on shared decision-making and helping youth navigate their transition to adulthood. Prior to joining the Inova family, she was the Fellowship Director and Director of Medical Education for the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Children's National Hospital.
Dr. Bokor’s academic practice focuses on consultative care for young people ages 8-25 years. She covers a wide range of health issues concerning adolescents and young adults of all genders, including puberty, reproductive and sexual health, scrotal and breast disorders, gender care, eating disorders, substance use.
She is a member of the Society of Adolescent Health & Medicine (SAHM), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH). Dr. Bokor enjoys spending time with her husband and two children visiting restaurants, playing instruments, attending musicals, and traveling.
